Typical applications

A514 Gr.E is normally specified for mobile crane booms, concrete pump trucks, mining and excavator structures, hydropower penstocks, and heavy lifting equipment.

We supply it cut to size by plasma, laser or waterjet, with edges machined or flame-cut to your drawing, and can deliver in the heat-treatment condition your fabrication procedure requires.

Delivery condition

Quenched and tempered, or TMCP with accelerated cooling, depending on grade and thickness. Low-hydrogen cutting and welding guidance is supplied with each lot.

• Plate 6 – 200 mm thick, width to 4 000 mm, length to 14 000 mm
• CNC plasma, flame and laser cutting from your DXF / DWG drawing
• Normalizing, quenching and tempering, and PWHT simulation
• Edge bevelling, drilling, rolling to diameter on request

Inspection and certification

UT to EN 10160 with tight acceptance levels; Z-direction testing to EN 10164; Low-hydrogen cutting and welding guidance supplied; EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 mill test certificate

Seaworthy packing — bottom skids, steel strapping, VCI film and edge protection — is standard for sea freight. Container loading plans with piece weights are issued before shipment.
