Pressure Vessel & Boiler Plate · pressure-vessel plate for reactor and column shells, heat-exchanger shells, boiler and steam drums, LPG and ammonia storage spheres, and hydrotreater vessels
1.1 This specification covers one type of manganese-molybdenum and four types of manganese-molybdenum-nickel alloy steel plates for use in the quenched and tempered condition for the construction of welded pressure vessels. 1.2 Material under this specification is available in five types, designated "A", "B", "C", "D", and "E". The material is also available in three classes having the following strength levels. Strength Levels by Class Class Tensile Strength, ksi [MPa] 180–100 [550 to 690] 290–115 [620 to 795]…

Mechanical requirements for the thickness ranges shown. Impact testing is carried out at the temperature specified for the grade.
SA533 Gr.B Cl.2 is normally specified for reactor and column shells, heat-exchanger shells, boiler and steam drums, LPG and ammonia storage spheres, and hydrotreater vessels.
We supply it cut to size by plasma, laser or waterjet, with edges machined or flame-cut to your drawing, and can deliver in the heat-treatment condition your fabrication procedure requires.
Supplied in the heat-treatment condition the standard requires for the grade — as-rolled, normalized, normalized and tempered, or quenched and tempered. Simulated post-weld heat treatment can be carried out and reported before shipment.
Mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2; Ultrasonic testing to EN 10160 (S1–S3) or ASTM A578; HIC to NACE TM0284 and SSC to NACE TM0177; Simulated post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) on request; Third-party inspection by SGS, BV, TÜV or Intertek
Seaworthy packing — bottom skids, steel strapping, VCI film and edge protection — is standard for sea freight. Container loading plans with piece weights are issued before shipment.
Send the grade or the standard you specify, the thickness range, quantity and destination port. We reply with price, lead time, delivery term and the applicable certificate within 12 hours (Mon–Sat, GMT+8).
